Common Questions about the Multi-Function Monitoring System

Why are the measurement results different from hospital blood tests?

Home monitoring devices use fingertip whole blood, while hospitals test venous plasma. Due to different sampling sites and methods, slight differences in values are normal (home values are usually slightly lower). Additionally, glucose, uric acid, and total cholesterol fluctuate instantly with time, diet, stress, and exercise.

The BeneCheck system complies with international ISO 15197 standards: When glucose is < 100 mg/dL, the error range is within ±15 mg/dL; when ≥ 100 mg/dL, the error is within ±15%.

It is recommended to compare results **while fasting**. If you still have concerns, please bring the device to a medical institution for verification.

What should I do if an error code appears or blood volume is insufficient?

Common causes include insufficient blood volume, damp strips, or incorrect insertion. Solutions:

  • Ensure fingers are clean and dry (alcohol must evaporate completely).
  • Uric Acid/Total Cholesterol tests require more blood (1.0 μL/0.8 μL). Wash hands with warm water and massage fingertips to promote blood circulation, or adjust the lancing depth.
  • Use test strips within 3 months of opening; avoid storing in damp environments.
  • If errors persist, check the battery or contact customer service.
How to store test strips and maintain the device?

Test strips are key to accuracy. Please note:

  • Use strips within 3 months of opening. Do not refrigerate (store at room temperature).
  • Close the cap tightly immediately after use to avoid humidity or direct sunlight.
  • Device maintenance: wipe with a dry cloth, avoid washing with water; replace batteries promptly when low.
